Bless him R.I.P.
Floating on there sides can be bacterial, internal parasites.
Does the angel look bloated or skinny.
What do you feed your fish.
Can the fish maintain it's balance in the water.
Does the fish headstand or turn upside down.
What does it look like when the fish goes to the toillet.
Just check the anus to see if it's enlarged or red and inflamed.

Is it possible to turn flow down on filter.

Does the fish headstand or turn upside down. yes

Don't feed for a few days.
Diet needs improving of more variety in frozen foods like brime strimp and daphnia.
Feed some peas and introduce more green veg into there diet.

Sounds like you got a bad batch.
When you buy new fish it's best to worm them in quarantine.
I would turn filter flow down if he's stuggling to stay upright.
If you can't turn filter flow down just put some netting over filter flow with a rubber band. That should slow it down abit.

Ok.
How long did you climatise them for.
There isn't much you can do really, only try some peas.
If he get's better worm him.
But once fish start turning upside down the outcome dosn't look promising.
Swim bladder can be caused by bad water quality, unstable temp, poor diet, injury, deformed swim bladder, internal parasites, bacterial.

Don't turn powerhead off as after so long the beneifical bacteria will start to die off.
Is there anyway you can put some netting on the outflow tube.

2 hours using the drip method,
temp is a stable 25oC no physical injuries

Just try some peas for now if he's still eating.

hes not touched them, so annoyed i might ring the LFS tommorow and see if any of the other angels in that tank have died, i spent £20 on these so i dont see why i shouldnt get a refund

When did they start to swim on there sides.
To be honest it sounds like the second angel won't make it either.

if there angels are swimming on there sides at the lfs they should give you a refund.
It can be swim bladder, bacterial, internal parasites.
