My Amazon Sword Is Melting

I just got it from petco and a few days later it started to melt, but there are new leaves sprouting. I use playsand for substrate. I dont use co2 or fertilizer and have the lights on for 7-8 hours.

It's very common for them to melt. If there are new leaves just leave it alone and make sure it has light, it should regrow.

This is the first stage - as the leaves that were grown in air die off to make way for the new leaves suited to the the co2 levels in your tank.
Pull the dead leaves off and throw them away to prevent algae.
