we all start with 5 or 6 then add to it. i now have 13 females and 3 more to be added once they grow a little. I have found as long as i add more than 1 at a time (usually 3-5) i have very little problems with aggression as does Nicki.

The only 'agression' i get is the 2 dominant females chasing now and then but only with each other

I started off buying 6 female bettas from my lfs. My next purchase was 10 from e-bay,- but not all of them survived the journey in the post. Out of my original 6 girls two of them turned out to be male PK's! I took out the one that was flaring at everyone and gave him a tank of his own. The other male still lives in with my girls, plus there is also a copper HM male in there too. They have lived together this year,- 2 males and 27 females, without any signs of bickering and not one bitten fin

Thoes girls are absolutly beautiful! I had no idea you could have more than one betta in a tank at one time..(not including when your breeding them of course) If I had known that I would have used my 60 gallon for bettas! Where did you get your girls?

Thank you! My girls are from several different suppliers. I have some gorgeous girls from http/bettaboys.co.uk and others from lovely people I have met on forums These 3 girls above were £4 each plus £7.50 postage

Highly recommended, a good few of us use the same people with our bettas
