Hi, and welcome.

Simple answer to your question is no, they're shoaling fish and can get quite nasty if they're on their own, so a good sized shoal or none is the only answer with tiger barbs.

They're also not really compatible with fish with trailing fins, as they like to nip, so your comets may be at risk from them.

While we're on the subject of compatability, you do have some conflict in the list you've given as well. Minnows can mean several different types of fish, so they're difficult to comment on, but comet goldfish tend not to be viewed as compatible with any other tropicals, with different temperature requirements and being incredibly heavy on filter requirements (you may have already noticed that they're not the neatest eaters and tend to produce fairly large quantities of waste).

DrRob has made good comments, especially about Tiger Barbs, they are nippy fish sometimes and tend to do better in larger groups rather than individuals or small groups. A group of 10+ at least would be good for Tiger Barbs.

Just to elaborate a little further, Comets are goldfish, meaning they are cold water fish, they do not do so well in a heated tropical tank am afraid.
Here is some basic information on goldfish for your information

Your minnows, I have a feeling they may be White Cloud Mountain Minnows as these tend to be the type sold by most Local Fish Store (LFS). These are temperate fish, meaning they prefer cooler temperatures rather than higher tropical temperatures.
A pic of your 3 minnows would certainly help to identify what species you have in your tank.

Sorry to be a little negative but best you know these now rather than later when you may have problems later in future.
