They are beautiful. Murphy appears to have fin rot. What do you other more experienced people think?

Where do you see the fin rot? If anyone thinks he may have fin rot, I'll definitely go buy some meds for him tonight...

It could just be the pictures...like I said, I can't get a decent pic of him His tail has light blue and black at the tips...is that what you see? I've never had a fish with fin rot, so I really don't know.

Thanks for the tip about the filter media, Amunet. Is it too late to do that?

I tried to get better pics of Murphy's fins...you can see his anal fin nicely in this one...

And an outline of his caudal fin...he does have black at the tip.

The black tips are a sign of fin rot. Not sure though if that is his natural color.

Hmm...well I don't know then. His fins aren't torn or ripped looking. The black moves into the blue and red on pretty much all of his fins...it's just more noticeable on the caudal fin.

Would it hurt him if I treated him anyway? Anyone else have an opinion on my boy? Does it look like fin rot?
