hello.
This is my 10 gallon, it is coming up to 8 month's old by now, I currently have Clado algae but I'm working on ridding it.
the stats are,
18" x 12" x 12" tank, straps removed so as to appear an ADA product.
pressurised co2 via "nano" diffuser
36watt's pc
external heater, Hydor ETH 200
Eheim 2224 professional 1 filter
substrate is ADA aquasoil amazonia
live stock is 20+ cherry shrimp 12 ember tetra and 7 ottocinclus.
plants are HC hair grass anubias nana and taiwan moss (mostly dead/algaefied) as well as hydropholia polysperma and Rotala rotundifolia.

How can I improve it? constructive criticism encouraged.
New rocks and more plants are on the way, for a subtle change in hardscape, these are needle leaved ferns bolbitis and anubias nanas petite.

Here she is:

You have a fantastic piece of wood, perhaps move the hygro to the corner and trim it down slightly as it makes the tank and wood appear dark, you would get more pleasure out of the scene

Hello Aarron,
thanks for the tips, the hygro however, is only temporary to soak up nutrients until my new plants arrive, It hides most of the smaller leaved stems as well as blocking out 50% of the light going into the tank.

Looking good Gareth. Could you someting between the wood and HC? Crypts perhaps?

Sam

I was looking for some crypts but I couldn't find any small enough so I have some Anubias nana Petites coming to fill this area, I'd like some crypts to add extra variety, that or those umbrella plants tom (messy) used in his set up, I could really do with some more moss too to cover some pebbles to break up the base of the wood and mingle with the anubia's.

hey aaron, like I said I couldn't find any small enough, 15cm is a big plant in a tank this small, I suppose it's worth a try though.

Yarr improvement :p

Are you going to cover the rocks in anything? mybe the two "groups" on either side could have moss on them and the middle "group" could be bare? :good:

I'm thinking about moss, I don't think I'll add any until I'm "stable" though, I've got some anubias nana petite coming to go with the rocks but I may find that I've got too many, Ordered 7 and can only see use for 5 but we will see. what ever happens now it can only get better.

Thank you, the rocks are landscape or mini landscape rocks I can't remember which I ordered from AE, no doubt Richard will know.
They're good though, the one's I used are also the ones I thought would be the most unusable.
