We were having a discussion over in Buying and selling or w/e about murphys law. I thought this would be a good place to post it about fish

1. If anything can go wrong, it will.
2. If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the first one to go wrong.
3. If anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway.
4. If you perceive that there are four possible ways in which something can go wrong, and circumvent these, then a fifth way, unprepared for, will promptly develop.
5. Left to themselves, things tend to go from bad to worse.
6. If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
7. Nature always sides with the hidden flaw.
8. Mother nature is a b****h.

I was thinking about this today, and about how it affect our aqurium, so yeah. :look:

I totally agree, atleast for the first several months of having an aquarium. My old 5 gal was set up and cycled with danios (yeah, i know, bad) for over a year, and once I had it established, i did water changes and fed the fish daily, the rest was just sit back and enjoy.

I'm still amazed at how much all that connects with fish keeping. :hey:

:fun:
What are you speaking of?

Ugh, yes. Take today. I've got my 15g sat on my table with manky water in. I do a 100% water change, lave it overnight with a few small filters to clear, then put 4 danios and my established filter in to keep it going while I decide what to breed. Well, in theory. Obviously I had to catch them first. I tried tricking them with food, they ignored it. Eventually, after half an hour, I'd managed to net all 4, but I'd accidently squishd the last one against the glass. Not very hard, and not for very long, but its got a bruise now. Knowing my luck I'll go back up to find all 4 dead.

That'll be fun....... B)

I haven't had too much trouble w/ murphy yet......
