Muppy

Guppies and mollies are geneticaly very simular and are in the same genus, this is like lions and tigers different but possible
How ever neither will cross with platy's or Swordtails as their a different genus i.e. rabbit's and Hares, as they they are simular but impossible to cross.

Yes I read that it was possible and it seems to be because as I said all i have in the tank is 5 neons, 1 female molly and 2 male guppys. So the fry had to come from the molly since they are quite big and the only female and she has not been round a male for several months and i have never spotted any fry before now, and i did see my black male guppy trying to mate with her about 4 or 5 weeks back, so it only makes sense thats were the fry came from.

Just an update, I found another fry in the tank last night, so that is four altogether now. They all seem to be still doing good. Eating good etc.

Just to keep everyone updated:-

Muppies are still doing fine. Still have all four. They are now over a week old and have grown incredibily fast and starting to get some black spots of colour on them. They are still all eating well and making good progress. Should be able to get some pictures soon now that they are a little bigger. Think they are all about 1 cm in length now.

Will try and get some pictures and update again next week.
