I'm cured! With a little bit of strength, and elbow grease, I now pronounce myself cured of MTS.

Up and until recently, I had up to 9 tanks for my fishes. I admit, I almost had one variety of fish in every tank. That was my aim.

Big mistake. After about a couple of months, I soon got bored with all the gravel cleaning, water changing, aqua-scaping, feeding, general maintenance, and started to have second thoughts about it all.

To save my sanity and interest, I then started getting rid of my tanks. First went the little ones: bye-bye nursery, hatchery, hospital, and quarantine tank. Now, I only have the medium-sized plus one little one left.

How long before I start selling these too, only time will tell. So, beware people. Don't take on more than you can handle.

Just get one huge tank and put everything in it :D

then you only have one tank to take care of!!

Yup, and then give those empty tanks to me... :shifty:

Or, playing evil here, get some sort of other fish for those soon to be empty tanks..... muhahaha

Yeh, MTS is terrible and I caught it bad, since august when I started I'ved already got 6 tanks 1 of which being 200gallons.

But my aim was always to have a big tank so i'ved reached that target and now once the new tanks are cycled 1 tank will go completely and another will be on qurantine stand by.

And then in a couple of months you'll be getting some more... ;)

hmmm - I am scared now! I have only been keeping fish for about 7 weeks and I already have 3 tanks :-( How many more will I end up with? aaaargh!

i know how it is my fish keeping days started with a goldfish in a bowl then a couple months later a 5 gallon a couple months later a 20 gallon... i want a bigger tank now :D :D :D

From the other side of the fence.....
I've been keeping fish for about 35 years now, and up until about 2 years ago I never had the room for more than 5 or 6 tanks at a time (never anything larger than a 29 gallon). After suppressing my MTS needs for all those years, it is a wonderful feeling to finally be able to keep and breed different types of fish that I never was able to find room for in the past. I now have a fish room (used to be the garage) with 40 tanks up and running, more waiting to be set up. The water changes, feeding, and maintenance work is a quiet, relaxing time for me at the end of the day, and I look forward to it. I understand it may be more than some people would be willing to take on, and think it is commendable that you recognized that you were becoming bored with the drudgery of it and down-sized before the fish started suffering from it.
