Moving Up To 15G

I'm planning to start up a 15g tank and move everything from my 10g into it, fish, rocks, plants and filter. The only thing that will be different is the substrate, where I'll be moving from gravel to sand.

Since I'll be moving the filter as well, is there any reason to worry about cycling the tank? I'm sure this has been asked and answered but I couldn't find it. Thanks for the help.

It is the filter that is cycled and not he tank.
As long as your current filter is cycled then it should be fine providing you dont dramatically increase the amount of fish in the future if it is not suitable for that size of tank.

I would treat it like a water change.
Whilst your current tank is running, get the sand ready cleaned and get it in the tank. Fill it 50% with dechlorinated water which is temp matched to your current tank.
Transfer rocks and plants.
Turn off heater for 15 minutes minimum.
Transfer some existing tank water to top up new tank.
Transfer filter and fish.
Transfer heater.

New tank done!
