Moving tank when moving house

I have a Rio 180 with the bow front with Malawi Cichlids - we will be moving house soon and I am very anxious as to the best way to do this. I am thinking that the fish will travel best if I can get one of those polystyrene boxes from lfs and use tank water. Any ideas how I can transport tank water so I don't have to re-cycle? ....what proportion will I need?

if you don't want to re-cycle the tank, just make sure all filter media is wet, keep the substrate wet also and if possible, rocks as much as you can. Water contains pretty much nothing bacteria wise to cycle. I moved 6 tanks and managed to keep every one cycled. Of course, this depends on how far you're moving...
