A story of moving house, and therefore 2 fishtanks!!
On Saturday a friend is lending me his van to help me move house, so therefore the 4'6" fishtank and cabinet have to be empty and ready to go in the van....
First stage was to move all the fish from my Trop88 into the 4'6", so I could move the Trop88 to the new house. This was done last night, and this evening it was warmed up and ready for fish.
So this evening I've spent about 2 hours, catching fish, bagging them up and moving them to the new house, and into the Trop88.
1 small problem, I couldn't find my male BN plec... so I left all the wood etc in the tank, whilst I transported the rest of the fish to the new house. Came back, and slowly removed all the bogwood from the tank trying to find the BN.... eventually found him wedged in the top of a piece of wood..... tried everything to get him out, no chance.
Bearing in mind that I hadn't seem him for about a week, I didn't even think that he could be sitting on eggs/fry.....
Eventually decided to move him, in the wood, in a box of water, to the new house. No probs, everythings all set-up in the new house.
Came home and drained all but 1" of water from the 4'6" tank.
Was just sat having a cuppa, when I spotted movement in the water...... closer inspection revealed there were lots of tiny little BN fry !!!!!!
To say I'm gutted is to say the least!
Anyway, sorry if I've bored you to death with my storey, but needed to tell someone !!!!!
