I think i have overstocked the larger tank and need to move something to the smaller tank which has some room.
Any tips on if i should or shouldnt move fish and tips on what i should move

See my sig for stock levels.

Don't think I'd move anything. Your smaller tank looks more overtsocked to me! Keep up with regular water changes and everything should be ok unless fish start getting territorial, keep an eye on your gourami's and angels for signs of trouble.

Yes, hou are very overstocked. Your smaller tank is basically full too. You could move the cories from your large tank to your small tank and also maybe the gourami, but that would be pushing it a bit.

i was thinking about moving my dwarf gourami.

i was always led to believe that algae eaters were generally not included in stock count as they are enviromental maintenance fish.

Unfortunately not, algae eaters esp plecos' are the biggest polluters aside from goldfish. Have you ever seen a pleco poo?

2 siamese fighters aren't advisable in one tank.
I would recommend moving one to your smaller tank.

its a male and a female so they are ok in the same tank.

Sure, they're okay if you want dead bettas :/

Having two in the same environment is a ticking timebomb unless there are a lot of plants to stop them constantly catching sight of each other.
Otherwise, in the end, one will kill the other.

Should never keep a male with a female, genesis is right, might not be tomorrow or next week or next month, but one day you'll come in and one of them will be dead or severely beaten up. Don't call them fighters for nowt! Hooligan fish.

Thankyou Scooterchick.

Seriously, two fighters are not good together.
One will end up dead. :(

Go on! Gte a new tank! A nice small one where the male could be king of his own little kingdom!

That would be an excellent idea :good:
They should only ever be together for breeding as bettas, by nature, are solitary fish :)
