Has anyone had experience that they can share concerning moving a 90 gal all glass community fish tank with about 30 fish. The tank and furniture stand need to be moved 6 feet to permit a new porcelin tile floor to be put in.
I would welcome your information.

Hey, not complaining, but someone's bound to say this anyway - this topic's come up several times before, I just did a search for 'moving' and found a few good answers.

Basics are -
Put the fish in a/some big (clean) bucket(s), with the heater and filter still running, keep plants and ornaments in tank water, keep as much tank water as possible, but make sure that you empty the tank of water completely (otherwise the bottom might fall out - water's always heavier than you expect!). Get help if you can, so you can get it all over with as quickly as possible, thus stressing the fish as little as possible.

I'm sure I've left some vital things out, but I can't think of anything else right now!

Thank you "fish crazy" for those fine thoughts and the suggestion that I use the search. I will let you know how this works out!

I'll be experienving a similar issue in a few months as i'll be moving out of my parent's place.

I only have a 20 gallon though so I'll just pour all the water in 2 5 gallon buckets woth the fish in them. My new place is about 10-15 minutes away so it's no big deal.

I'll set everything up once I get there.

My mom might also buy an aquarium so that'll make things even easier as I can leave all my fisah in a real tank while I move my aquarium and then just bag the fish to transport them
