Moving Fish Tank

Moving my tank upstairs, i was wondering what volume of water i should remove from the tank.

I gota abuncha fish, but the one im afraid of is the Bala, apparently there really prone to stress soo... thats the thing.

Anyway if anyone can give me some tips or tricks id really appreciate it, thanks, happy new years.

Dont you have a 55 gallon? (i read previous posts)

You WILL need to empty some water a 55 gal would weigh about 1/4 of a ton! 250kg (ish)

And yeah its a 55, implying that im weak? HUH buddy i carried my car home when it broke down ok, and thats atleast like what a ton? Its a 1999 Ford Windstar, more like built Igor tuff.

Anyway, later man, i appreciate any help in the future and now.
