i have decided to close down my bettas 28L tank as it is in the way in my small room and move him into my 90L community tank, its is at around 24.c, has sand substrate, plants and places for him to explore and hide in. there is only 1 male platy and 5 neon tetras in there. will he be ok in there? his current tank is 26.c so i was going to float him in a bag first?

thanks.

Should be fine.
I had mine in with Platys, and another tank with a Betta in with neons.
neons were fine.

Platys depend on the individual fish.
Might be fine, or you might find the platy is aggressive - no way to tell until you try.
It's a 50/50 thing. Some people do it, some people cant.

hes never seemed very aggresive with the other platys i had, but they sadly died a few months ago, i bought them about a year ago before i knew about cycling ect so their life was shortened :( i will give it a go!

Yeah, just depends really.
I had one small male who bothered my Betta to no end - but never tried anything with the other platys.

Give it a go!
It /should/ be fine. But just watch for any unusual behavior from either the Betta, or the Platy (And maybe the neons, I've never personally had a problem.)
