moss balls

They eat nutrients that algae would grow on and they look nice. Some fish and fry nibble on it too.
 
They can although by how much I don't know, and I'm not sure how many for a tank that size. I've been looking for those myself but I haven't looked up how much per gallon.

Yeah exactly, and my fish like to nibble on it.
 
they are great for fry to eat too, ideal for fry tanks.
 
there actually morimoto algea, but there purpose is the same as that of any plant, food, cleanwater and looks
 
I bought 2 yesterday, so I'll see how they get on. I was advised to have 2 for a 55 UK gall tank - apparently they are good at reducing phosphates in planted tanks, which in turn help keep algae down a little more.
 
i have just got one for my 180l tank
i just have to see if they make a difference
