I’m happy this dwarf orange crayfish chose this cave as its home… in a tank with many hiding places , it chose this cave up against the front glass, and I get to see it each morning at 1st light… it’s been living here for several months

never seen any of the dwarfs mess with fish, even the ones in the sword tank full of babies… I’m betting if you’ve ever seen one eating a fish, it was dead 1st
You don’t think they can catch a live one on the fly ? I’ve heard that’s what they do but I’ve never personally witnessed it .

the mature denison barbs in this particular tank give him the stink eye once n a while

this cray was active this morning, I didn’t see it in it’s normal spot, then I saw it high diving from the root tangle near the surface, it then proceeded to march along the front, stopping for a few minutes at the coffeefola, in the center of the tank, then went clear over to the opposite side of the tank, only to turn around, and go back to it’s den…

my morning buddy climbing the root tangle above it’s cave this morning… he’s about 6 inch’s from the top of the tank… and being a dwarf cray, it’s about twice the size of an adult neocardia shrimp, actually a nice size to mix in with fish that may otherwise bother shrimp…
