I have a cycled planted 30 gallon tank with 6 diamond tetras and 4 cory cats.
Do I have enough room in my tank to add a school of 6 or 7 of a small tetra (neon, glowlite, ember)?

The tank is medium planted and I do regular water changes

Thanks!

Yes, you do, what filter do you have?

I have a 30G with internal eheim and I had 20 cardinal tetra and 5 juve angelfish (admittedly it was only a holding tank) but they seemed fine. I reckon 20 small fish would be fine, but others may have a more precise way to calculate it.

its better to understock than overstock

Thanks for the replies! I believe I have a whisper 60 hanging filter (I remember the box saying it can handle 30-60 gallons), its pretty old but running strong.

Yeah, a dozen or so of the smaller tetras would be fine, as would upping the number on your cory cats to 8-10.
