What! A common plec Blue cichlid??!?????????
What are you guys smoking? glolite asked to id the Blue cichlid not the pleco. The Blue cichlid is actually a Fontrosoa(sp)

They've been known to get to 24" but 18" is more common...

And yeah, that's a frontosa...

Hi guys,
Well now I've confused everyone he he  Iwas actually wanting to ID the smaller, light blue cichlid down on the right, sorry, and the pic isn't that great. Anyway found out now, he's a Cobalt Zebra ta. I know the frontosa (Monty the fronty) and he's gonna have to go to a bigger tank shortly followed I suspect by the plec (George). Never mind, just have to purchase some more cichlids later. The loaches and shark (Fergal) are shortly moving to my 45g tank so the water quality should improve (they chun up the gravel big time

Thanks for the help

is that a red tailed black shark in there? :S nice pic anyway! i have a frontosa and its not that big yet. how big do they grow?

Frontosas can grow to 14 inches, mine needs a bigger tank already. Yes that's a red finned shark he's going in my new tank with the loaches, and the chiches will be on their own with the plec. When the plec gets too big he will be replaced.
