Uh oh.... once I start watching the auctions at AquaBid, I'm in trouble.
No sooner than I looked at my bedroom tank and started thinking about the C. virginae I used to have in there than I saw them up for bid. This auction was one by Lotsoffish. If you regularly check out AquaBid you will recognize him as a gentleman who makes up some fantastic mixed lots auctions. Just reading the text of one of his auctions to try to find out what he's selling is fun. You get to listen to some good music at the same time as well. He always includes free shipping in the price. This is the one I got:

And here they are:
Oh...something leaked:
Inside the box:
Out of the box. I thought that one fish would be a doa for sure.
Underneath the fish I found two heat packs. I didn't expect them but the temperature at night, this time of year in New York, can be a matter of luck. He used good judgement.
Here they are out of the bags. Look at all the free food he sent along with them.
The little C. barbatus (Scleromystax barbatus) are hiding under the plant.
Here they are. The C. virginae is starting to straighten up a bit too. You can see she has a damaged dorsal fin though.

The long finned albino bristle nose plecos:
And here they are today. I'm happy to say that all five of the C. virginae are swimming actively.
One more pic, this one showing the biggest BN.
Hope you enjoyed seeing the fish! They are all doing very well.
