Mopani Wood

Put some Mopani wood in the tank on friday and ive just noticed its got furry mold on it in small patches isthis ok or should i take it out and clean it

perfectly normal it happens with most woods.
 
Wait for it to build up then take the wood out of the tank and give it a good clean, I find a pressure washer works best for this.
 
It will probably take at least a month for the mold to stop growing. If you have any algae eating fish they will do a good job of keeping it in check otherwise just keep cleaning the wood until it stops growing.

Boiling will also take care of this....usually

It was soaked for an hour in boiling water before putting into the tank
