Moonlights

Hi, just a quick question, are LED moonlights bad in any way for the fish? As far as I know they have no benefits except looking nice and being able to see your fish at night. Do they encourage algae growth, and does the unnatural lighting disturb the fish. If you could answer it would be great. . Thanks guys

OK, cheers for that, I only asked because I know shining a torch on the tank after lights out is a very bad idea, I presume then that this is because a torch is a much more intensified beam of light.

moonlights are fine as long as the fish go into their regular sleep pattern. If they are not sleeping like normal, but keep swiming around then your moonlight is too bright and can have negative effects.
