When in my LFS getting some fish, some lovely Moonlight Gourami's caught my eye, still fairly young as they can't have been much other an inch in length, and too big in any other proportion.

My question is, are they fairly peaceful, and be OK with my rosy barbs? I also have 3 smaller silver fish, forget the name, but are medium size with silver bodies and red tipped fins.

I've had blue and golden gouramis in the past, all peaceful and got on well with my other fish, but these are different to others I've had.

Obviously, it^s been a while since you last posted but, as no one has replied, I may as well - moonlights are great fish but they do get quite large. Often 7". They are capeable of eating very small tetras/other fish and fry and, though not aggressive fish, do need to be able to set up territories. They do well in small groups or trios in larger, planted tanks. I would suggest a 30 gallon as the minnimum for a single male or trio but larger is undoubtedly better.
