Month Old Guppy Fry Eating Plec Pellets......

They seem so small compared to the first lot that I had. So I've ordered some banana worms to help fatten them up :)

omg some one feeding live food lol.
banana worms are a good first food. after a few weeks they can be fed grindal worms also a very good food for the adult fish
the best foods for our fish are live foods.   all guppies  should be feed some  live food in there diet ,

all of my guppies enjoy eating live food. brine shrimp seem to go down well. i will look into grindal worms, thanks for that info, i have not heard of them before.

Baby brine shrimp is the best first food but can be a bit expensive . grindal worms are very
similar to white worms , grindal is smaller and easier to culture.

i tried to culture microworms but didnt have much luck, i think i done it wrong. they were very smelly as well

i   culture microworms  i do 6  tubs at a time,  mix with milk only it stops it smelling ,  although banana worms  has a sweeter smell to them,

So just mix the culture with milk and not porridge oats?
sorry for not explaining it properly, mix milk with  porridge also the culture seems to last longer

I should receive my culture tomorrow, so when I get it, mix some oats with milk and then put the culture on top. Can I put cling film on top with a few holes in it? Last time I put a lid in the tub and I think they suffocated. Also where is the best place to keep them? In the fridge (so that the milk doesnt go off)? I'm hoping they will keep my fry going until they are big enough to eat some baby brine shrimp that I have ordered. Also what is the best way to get the worms out of the tub?

I've never tried banana worms only BBS as my live food. Are they more effective, maybe I'll try it with my next batch.

I'm hoping they will be. I have fed them microworms before and they loved them! I will let you know how they take to the banana worms :)

I find the best way is to keep them in a plastic  takeaway tub or a margarine tub will do you
need to put some holes in the lid, the worms will climb up the sides of tub re move
them with a kids artist paint brush or the back edge of a blunt  knife will do you must keep them warm the warmer
the faster they will grow and multiply a good place is to put them is on top of
the fish tank lid they will take to the banana worms with no probs
