I know very little about brackish fish, but I saw a school of monos on "Tanked" and they looked so beautiful! Do they grow very big? Are they easy to maintain? How many could a 29 gallon aquarium have?
Thank you very much!

Thanks for the info. Do you think you could keep 6 or 7 in a 75 gallon?

You might want to go with a 90g for that many. I honestly don't know how they do with over-crowding, but they're very fast, very powerful fish so having adequate swimming room is important. I have 4 juveniles in a 55g with plans to move them to a 110g later this summer. A 110g is the same dimensions as a 90g, only it's 6" wider.

they are relativly large and very active swimmers. Honestly, the most you could possibly keep in 75gallon is 3. If you want to have 6-7 monos you need a 150g+ system, preferably 200gallons.

there are 2 types of mono i cant remember the names off the top of my head i think one is called seabe thats the more rare one and has black stripes like a angle fish

the other more commen type has yellow/orange dorsal and anaul fins

the both grow large and need full salt water when aluts

they both do best in groups of 6 or more

they are very skittish so need a large tank

i wouldnt keep then in a tank smaller t5han 6x2x2
