Molly Help!

Hi all, i bought 3 Molly's last weekend (Dalmatian) today i have noticed some light brown spots on them , there are not lots of them just a few on them , i am not sure if they are part of the coloring of the fish and i just haven't noticed! Or i don't know if there is something wrong with them.All the fish seem to be acting normally. All my water readings are fine, there are no spots on my other fish. Anybody got any ideas? thanks

Sounds like it might be velvet, try to turn the lighs off and shine a flashlight directly on the fish to see if its more apparent...

size of tank, all inhabitants, and do you have any stats? Ammonia,nitrite,nitrate........

how long have you had the tank? is it cycled? temp?

it does sound like velvet. the 2 times i had fish with valvet i just used a treatment that i wound use with ich. good luck with it mate

also i my opinion i would just get rid of the mollys it easyer i had lots in the past from good and bad lfs and they are all the same. they are very poor qualty from over breedng. i have also kept mollys in germany and they are also very poor and with the poor qualty they seem very prone to disease from this but good look anyway, (sorry about the rant)

hi, my tank is 90 liters. the fish i have are 6 harlequins, 3 platys and the 3 Molly's. I did a water test today and the PH is 8, ammonia 0, nitrite 0 and nitrate is 10 ppm. water temp 25. thanks
