I have released one of my ninja-patterned fry (called Ninja lol!) in the tank with his sister Pinky. The thirds no where to be seen but 2 of the fry are hiding between the plants and seem to be quite full of themselves as they seem to be teasing the bigger mollies then swim back for cover when the bigger mollies turn to get them lol
Yeah, those red pectoral fins are looking awesome, bet he got them from his mommy. If he develops red or yellow in the dorsal and tail, he'd be a complete rainbow swordtail. Those colours sound sweet we'll have to wait and see if the colours come out

Oh, and he also has a white belly like his daddy. X)
I'm not sure what causes that white patch to appear under some fish such as swordtails, platies and mollies, but I think it's called a tuxedo type.I'm sure the colours will come out soon and my 2 fry that I can find in my tank are happy as a pig in mud. They've been swimming in open water so to speak and eating what they can as soon as it drops to the bottom. And I've noticed they have white stomachs which confuses me a little as the mum come out a all black Molly tank from the lfs ??? They'll prob darken off as they grow and I'm hoping for a male as dont have a black male and a female to equal the numbers out
The white patch happens to both genders. At the beginning of this year, when I bought my swordies, I had 3 of them. So they were 1 black male with white belly, 1 black female with white belly and the red female.im not fussed really as long as their healthy but does it usually happen with females or males ???, plus it means different colours which is always a bonus and my tank looks empty without a fry trap in it but i dont think it will be long till its back in there again lol.
I don't know if mine will stay pink, might turn into blood red. Though I did see a bunch of pink ones at the pet shop. Pale, light-pink ones. But something about them seemed ugly: they had a failed pintail shape or shapeless tail fins. One of them caught my attention though but I didn't buy it: a heart-shaped tailed one, pink swordie. Would have been an awesome acquisition but I was after Java Fern back then, not fish.My wife and little girl would love pink fish, I can't wait for my viper Molly to get preg as I reckon that would be some weird fry colours
Wow, a copper-colored fish? I'd sure want a swordie variant of that. Maybe some day I might get some interesting strands.Sorry iPhone predictive took over. God I love the iPhone predictive like a hole in the head lol was ment to be copper Molly ( just double checked to make sure it didn't auto correct ) to get preg as I've got marbled/ Dalmatian and silver male Molly's in my tank so could be some wacky colours coming lol
And orange males
