today i came back from school and turned the light on and i saw a tail in my plant, and its fry. i managed to save ten babies but one of the ten babies was attacked by its mother and lost a FIN. its at the bottom of the net breeder lying there, i have put food in there in case it survives and for the others.

is it likely that the mother would give birth to every fry in one day?
any sugestions on what i should do with the one which has one fin?

here are some pic sorry they aren't clear

his the poor fish with one fin.

i am also thinking of changing my tank to to a fry tank. i was thinking of doing this: taking all my fish back to the fish shop except my fry, then chaging my gravel to sand, then adding more plants. also would a under gravel filter work with sand?

heres a pic of my tank:

a five gal

all fry that are either born with or are attacked causing deformaties, some survive some dont, its just the way it is, has it stared to try and swim yet,
sand with UGF-not worth the hassle, gravel acts as your media so you need to keep it gravel

it only trys to swim if another fish goes near it, or if it goes on its side. can fish grow fins back? i was also going to say was if a keep gravel don't fry berrie themselfs in the gravel

maybe a sponge filter are they good?

do u know how much they cost? its 28 liters; 5 gallon

the poor fish is still alive and swimming alot more :) and found one today so that makes 11, all the fry are yellow and black except one which is pour black it blended into the gravel
