One of my Sawbwa fry has a weird white (growth?) hanging on the right side of its body, near the anal fin. Originally, I assumed it was just 💩 when I saw it last night, but the fish still had it the morning after. I did suspect even fish eggs, but I'm certain this fish is far too young to have eggs atm. The other fry don't have anything similar. Another thing I also noticed was a small red patch located on the internals of the fish. Again, only this fish has this. Any ideas? I will attempt to get better pictures tomorrow if possible.

Pure speculation, but a young female with a prolapse? It does look like eggs, out of her body where they shouldn't be, and she's emaciated.

Strangely, the white mass/thing has gone. The fish seems fine, but still has a small red patch.

I need to target feed them. It's just finding a food they will eat and that is small enough. I don't have much access to live food, which is a pain.

The strange white thing has returned. After waiting for a while, I managed to get some somewhat clear macro shots. The fish is very skittish.

@GaryE I'm thinking your idea may have been correct. There is a ball shape. The black marking near the anal fin in this species is a definite marking of a female. Usually, when matured however.
