Mollies Randomly Dive And Dig Their Right Side Into The Sand?

 Yeah it cracked me up to see them. The big one, Lyra, started to do what my brother calls "semi ariels" by diving head first, then turning so their left shoulder goes into the sand, and then doing a somersault. Seeing this, Lanie can't help but imitate. What just happened?

They could be itching themselves because their skins irritated by some parasite or fungus. Do the fish look healthy?

They look fine. They've only done the "sideways worm" twice but they look healthy.

Maybe take a video? If its a quick flick like a twitch then its probably not good but if they do it slowly then who knows maybe theyre having a little fun.

Probably, it was pretty slow. They're back at the top of the tank now.
