Mix And Match Cories?

I am just wondering if you can have many cories but different ones if that makes sense.
I know that it is best to have a group of 6 but do they have to be the same type?
I have 2 peppered and 2 schwartzi and i am going to some more but im not sure if they have to be the same or if i can get different ones

If this doesn't really make sense please ask

you really need groups of the same species......most will not schoal together.

Il probably take the peppered ones out and put some more schwartzi in there
