Missing guppies?

Well I had 5 guppies in my 20 gallon tank when I woke up today I noticed 3 were missing I looked almost every where but no sign of them I have 1 mystery snail 2 apple snails and 2 ramshorns in it also could it have eaten the fish?

Um is there any cover on the tank. If so is there any open areas like were the filter is? maybe there just hiding. Any big preditory fish?

Theres a cover on it I dont think they were hiding I checked the whole tank

They could have jumped out through the little space for the filter. Is there any bigger fish in the tank.

Well I did have an alge eater in it it grew to 6 inches but
I don't remember the name of it and it it possiable that it could have jumped out

Well I dunno if the alge eater ate it cause it has like a sucker mouth and it sticks to the wall

wait what jumped an algue eater or a guppie?
EDIT: I doubt he ate them i think you should look around your tank.

Wait a minute... You noticed the guppies were missing today right? But you HAD (past tense) an algae eater that grew to 6" (probably chinese sucker). How can the algae eater have eaten the guppies if they aren't in the same place at once?

What is in your tank at this moment? How long have the guppies been missing for?

If they died, the snails could have illiminated any remaining traces of them.
However, I'd advise you to check around (as in outside) the tank thoroughly. Then look in the filter, behind the heater (may be stuck between the suction thingy and the equipment) and in any hollow ornaments or under any ornaments.

If I'm correct in thinking the guppies may have actualy been missing for a while but you hadn't checked, I'd warn you to do a daily head-count at feeding time to make sure that you realise when they are missing sooner in future.

I doubt he had a cae cause he would have sayed that not just a suckermouth thing AKA pleco

Yeah, you're probably right.

A plec wouldn't have eaten a guppy though. A CAE might have.
