Missing Gill Cover

One of my Zebra Danios seems to be missing a gill cover! it was there a few hours ago, no signs of any other damage.

it is kept with 2 other Zebras, 3 cherry barbs and an albino catfish.

any ideas?

one of the other danios will be responsable for the damage. Danios become very aggressive if not kept in groups, 5 is the minimum but the more the better.

can you add melafix to your tank and raise the temp to 82f? this will help heal the wound and prevent infection. unfortunatly the gill cover will not grow back, so this danio will be more likely to get an infection or disease later on.
