Missing Fish!

I had, and thought I still have... two Glowlight Tetra that came with my seccond hand tank.

I haven't noticed till now (I'm not exactly fond of the fish) but I fed my fish today and noticed they wasn't there :unsure:

, and come to think of it... I haven't seen the pair of them for a good week or more now!!

I have 15 Ammano Shrimp in the tank, do you think they would of eat them if they kicked-the-bucket as to speak?

Should I be worried about water stats? As I haven't seen them for a week and can't find them... tested the water and it's fine :unsure:

Did you check inside the decorations. my suckerfish always hides inside mine and it takes me hours to find him.

Did you check the filter intake or inside the filter? I've never owned shrimp but I'd guess yes. Whenever I've had a small fish die they either get eaten by the other fish/snails, or they are against the intake. Sorry if they're dead

I've checked the filter and found nothing. Looked for days to find them and cant see them! They were active fish always coming up to the top for feeding etc.

I have noticed a few shrimp growing and leaving their shells behind, maybe they have eat them :unsure:

, I've seen them eating a dead tetra before so I wouldnt put it passed them!

Wouldnt cause any problems with them eating dead fish though would it?

Water stats are still fine :unsure:

Not sure..I know fish eat other fish all the time. I wouldn't leave a dead fish in there on purpose, but if they do eat it its just the circle of life to me. I would only worry about it if the carcass was floating around, polluting the water :sick:

Shrimp are scavengers they will be fine. Sorry they stressed you.

yes the shrimp (and the other fish) will eat a body. Food is food after all. Doesn't matter if last week it was swimming next to you calling you Bob!

talking of missing fish i have had a small bristlenose go missing .... not seen it for about a week so took everything out of tank tonight and moved all gravel about but no plec... ( what gunk )... did used have a very grumpy rtbs just woundered if that eat it....
