That is a good question. I don't know how Synirr determined her gender. I have been unable to see an ovipositor, but I have not tried very hard to see. I have not seen any barring on her, stress or vertical. I have no reason to think she is a girl except that Synirr sent her to me as a girl. Perhaps this weekend I will try to check her closer. She is very small yet. But not too small to make as good a bubble nest as any of my boys! I am just still calling her a girl for expediencies sake, and because I still think of her that way out of habit.
Whichever, I am looking forward to seeing what she accomplishes with herself. She is a happy little thing and very smart.
