I changed Miss Quasi"s water yesterday. I don't know how she stood it! Nasty! Yuck.

I fixed her heater so it would work better. When I came home this morning she presented me with a very nice compact and a 1/2 inch deep bubble nest!

Synirr!!!!! What did you send me??????

Hey! Check it out!

Ms. Quasi says, "Hi! Mommy Synirr! Now, lady, feed me!" She had pea for dinner. Which, as every well raised Betta lady should do, she attacked with gusto. The next day flake, and then the treat: live black worm! It didn't stand a chance. She did play with it first though. I may rename her Ms. Kitty!

Exactly!!!

Her nest is at least 5x bigger than her! She is maybe an inch but maybe not.

Yes, sometimes they do build them. But this is the first time any of my 25 or so that I have owned have done it. Their nests aren't sticky enough to hold together--or so I have been told. Oh wait a minute, I think I did see bubbles randomly floating around a lady's tank once.

Assuming it is still there, I will try for a piccie tomorrow, perhaps with a shot of ther sisters in their tank.

Miss Quasi's nest is still together. It is very suspicious. He/r nest is better built than most of my boys. She wiggles when I come to her bowl in the morning now. I haven't been able to take the picture of her and her accomplishment yet. I have been too involved with the debate in the Corey forum about fish breeding ethics. (Come by an put in your two cents.)

But here is the sorority tank with 4 of her sisters showing. Can you find them? The sorority is doing very well. Although it isn't very artistic, they don't seem to mind. But, I don't think she will be joining it.

Posting this will allow me to clear the card and I can take some time to photo shoot he/r tribute to positive thinking.

Haha there's always one....unless she has a little secret, or was a male in her past life. ;)
You seen my recent girls? All turned out so well. And the very new spawn with a tonne of wrigglers in the nest. :X Some of my girls build tiny nests but nothing of that size.

Hi Miss Dib Dabs, I must come visit you and the synos some time soon. :)

I got some pics this morning. I will try to post them tonight. Looks like I will have to email Synirr to get her to come look. She's probably doing finals or something smart like that.

Well I am looking forward to seeing your wigglers. Great news!

Well here is Miss Quasimodo and nest. I have not yet found her hanging under her nest pointing at it, not to say she isn't. She is probably just more interested in me, and what I may bring to the table, when I am around.

Meet Miss Quasi

She is not shy, but she can play coy:

  she is so clever!

my boys all make different nests got one..cant remember what sort he is....builds really thick nests and he hasnt even got a heater!

Yes she is my smart little hunchback. Her color has cleared up don't you think? When I got her she was all splochy. You can see in one of the first photos. Sometimes I am tempted to put her with the girls, she swims well. But that nest???? Hmmm???? Better wait.
