what does miracle mud actually do?
if i do put it into a marine tank does it go under the sand bed or in my filter?
well it benefit my marine tank?

anyone used it? -_-

Miracle Mud is used underneath your sandbed, generally in a refugium to keep things looking nicer in the display. Its claim is it replenishes nutrients etc etc. Maybe someone who has used it could chime in? Id like to know what they think, ive no experience with it myself.

i have a mud sump. dont see much dif tho then when i didnt have it, i would stick with cheaper mineral mud if money is tight. does help with ye nitrates tho ;)

its expensive but i think i would rather of spent the £10 on some purigen than £40 on some m.mud. calerpa grows well in it tho ;)

Anyone else?

I too am considering Miracle Mud, but it is very expensive. I bought a 20USG long tank for my refugium setup I am working on right now. I would really love any input on this stuff as I don't want to waste money in the wrong items.

Have you been to the Ecosystem site.

I had the extreme privlidge of getting to know Leng Sy when I lived in Tustin CA. One of his researchers owned an LFS near my house and I became great friends with the LFS owner, and got to know Leng.

Many companies have attempted to copy the Miracle Mud, but don't quite understand what is involved. It is a shame that there is so much misconception related to Miracle Mud, IME it is a fabulous product.

In Coral Magazine there was an article featuring pictures from a LFS "Window to the Sea". I can confirm that this LFS used no supplements other then calcium for an entire year, except for Miracle Mud in the sump. The reef tanks thrived like no other tank I have seen.

The culturing research and efforts that go in to the product are unmatched. It is worth every penny. I would recommend the real Miracle Mud to anyone. Do not be fooled by imposters.

Check out the site. It's a good one.
