Miracle Fish!

I live in Englanndand it was in the hall so yea it was pretty cold

Lol, I'm surprised! Usually with the weather we have the water level goes up rather than down  or maybe my roof is leaking

Not a story of survival I'm afraid but when I got my tank second hand the seller threw in around 20+kgs of slate chips. The slate was full of muck so I decided that I had to clean/wash it out before. Had to do bits at a time over a number of days but when I got to the last lot whilst running my hands through it something floated up and scared the be-jeebers out of me, it was a dead fish, around 4cm long, gold and white. God knows how long it had been trapped in the slate as I had had it for around a week by then and the seller said he had decommissioned the tank quite a while ago.

Me and my 2 boys buried the fish in our back garden.

I sent the seller an email re my discovery but he never replied.

Ugh. I've got a worse one than that!

I went to a lfs store that was going out of business and got two used tanks. Each had gravel and about half an inch or water in them. They had been sitting in the store for a while, and I had to clean them out.

When I started to clean one out, I found a dead mouse!!! It was disgusting. The thing had to have been caught in it and drowned, and no one noticed. I had to take it by the tail and throw it into the woods.

Gross **shudder**
