Minx' New Texas Tank

So my new tank Rio 180 turned up this morning (unfortunatley the cabinet didnt!!!), so just thought Id pop up some pics as I went along, Im waiting for the cabinet to arrive, so I got bored, its apparently being delivered by a seperate courier company beats me why.

This tank is for my Texas Cichlid as hes getting quite big now at about 8" and needed to be moved from the 30g, this is the biggest size I could get for the space I have, but for just him (and his mate Ghostie, til ghostie is moved to 5ft tank) it should be big enough for life.

So unpacked, cleaned, filter assembled and background on.

Not very exciting is it Doesnt the kitchen table just set it off nicely

More pics as its set up coming (I hope)........I tell ya, Tex is watching anxiously, getting impatient for his new home

This is getting annoying now, why would a company send the tank out via one courier and the stand by another??? I really wanted this up, running and Tex in by the end of today

Ive got a filter all ready to put in there, was going to take the media out and stuff it in the juwel box, but will probably just run it alongside for a month.

And yes I am very impatient, poor ol Texy got put in a 65L tank three days ago to make way for 10 banded rainbows that I ordered, plus all my cories and praecox that I already had, he is not a happy bunny, keeps giving me evils everytime I look at him Ive shown him the tank, assured him it wont be long, but I dont think he believes me

Ahhhh Im bloody fuming, just been told that the cabinet wont be delivered until tomorrow now, ####? Ridiculous, well thats one company I wont be using again.

Tex isnt in yet, just gonna let the bubbles go, its up to temp already but let things settle for a few hours and I shall try to get pics of him in his new abode

Thanks, yeah had to go with the dark wood, matches everything else, new 5ftooter will be in the dark wood too

Well they are both in, I wasnt going to put ghostie in today, but I swear they have been missing each other so as I was cleaning out all the tanks, I managed to catch him too.

Both are in hiding at the moment, shall get pics later

Hey nitro, sorry didnt answer your pm did I? Sorry got busy making up tank etc.

No they werent taken with the fuji, never got around to getting it, those were taken with my old HP photosmart M525, which is why they are so naff
