Minimum Aquarium For A Kribensis Pair

damn, i have a ten gallon that i was hoping to use! oh well. can anyone confirm this is too small? they would be the only fish in the tank.

Think this is a bit too small. I have a breeding pair in a 60 litre tank and I think this is pushing it.... they can get aggreaasive towards each other when breeding so need to have their own space.

a 10g is the aboslute minnimum. I would put a pair and nothing else in there. And you might want to expect some aggression, and they wont let their fry live very long in there becasue of the little maount of space. I say go out and buy atleast a 15g, but they will breed in a 10.

okay, thanks. i do have a 20 gallon but i want to put cories in there so kribensis aren't an option.

I had a stunning pair of reds in a 24x12x12 and after they bred and kept babies for just over 2 weeks the male killed the female in such a short time it was too late for me to save her. I would say that that size tank was too small and if I do it again it will be in a three foot with plenty of hidey holes for female
