I forgot what kind'a crawfish they call it Blue something, but this is what I took with my cell camera.
I took it at the not so LFS... it's far from my house. It costs $29. I might get one someday, maybe not, I dunno.
They also had a Raphael Catfish. It was about between 4 and 5 inches, and it actually looked like it had slits for pupils. Price $15.

They're usually called "Cobalt Blue" crays. $29 seems a bit expensive for it, but they're really common around where I live.

Raphael cats are really cool, but don't expect to see them very often, unless you have a large group in a species tank.

Good luck with the finds. :good:

its a Procamberus alleni. they come in other colours too. its a cold/cool water crayfish. though it is chilled for a N American Crayfish, it will make short work of any stock you put in with it. but if kept on it own, a tank between 10 and 20 ukg should do it, they are a fantastic critter.

As long as they don't kill or hassle my fish, I might get one someday. :)

there is a good chance it will! however if you wish to try it, get yourself a Australian redclaw, Cherax quadricarinatus. common name Blue Lobster. these have been known to work in some forms of community. but it must be said, if you value your fish, it is probably not worth the risk. All Cray make the most facinating creatures to keep, but perhaps on their own is the best way.

They cost $29?? Where are you getting them? Petsmart (I work there... we sell em @ $29.99)... Check other stores, I've seen em for $10.

lol seems a bit high for a cray you can catch, in most places in the US, in your local river. $10 sounds about right.
