Might Need Help From Some Women...

OKAY... so apart from the fact that i dont think ill get any useable advice i must say there is no reason why i cant look #71###ing fabulous while maintaining an awesome tank set up. :good:
A reserved thanks for the replies im sure they will be fine (nails in tank) i just wanted to double check as my tank health and maintenance is one of my first priorities.
And to clear up i got gel nails which are fake ones that melt onto your nails, not a french manicure! they are very in this season. go on the fishies.. i may post an link to the topic with my tank photos in it when i upload new ones, just so we are all clear on the fish tank in question and how class it is. cheers.

also to clear up any confusion i was asking with regard to the tank health not in relation to my fake nails! thats just weird.

well, in general we dont want to be placing anything 'foreign' into the tank and that's especially true when it comes to chemicals. What fake nails and the adhesive are made of I don't know and even then someone would need to have proven that the materials/chemicals used actually caused harm to fish....which is unlikely. So, the best thing is simply not to take the risk. Elbow length rubber or latex gloves will give you an alterantive to introducing that risk into the tank.

cool, i figured as much the stuff they use is pretty water tight but i might use gloves if im doing alot of work in the tank just to be safe. its hard to know for sure so i just thought id ask as i thought some women or men (no assumptions) might have experienced this before. thanks again to all who replied. :) :good:
