Hiya, I used some methylene blue in my 350ltr tank after noticing some of my fish were rubbing up some rocks and seemed to be lying on the bottom of my tank. Its been 3 days now since i put it in, and they seem back to normal now. (it seemed to work so fast). But how long will it take befor the colour of my water goes back to normal? Its gone a greeny colour now after 3 days.

Hi, It took about 1-2 weeks to go out of my 50 litre :grr: but saved all my fish :hyper: so, my suggestion would be just do lots of water changes to get it out! :fun: :D

If you add carbon to your filter, it will take the blue right out. *I am assuming that if you had any carbon, it was removed prior to medicating*

Know your problem! The same thing happened to me! It turned the rocks and some of the gravel blue as well! Horrible stuff! I reckon a couple of weeks before it's all gone. We have stopped using it. I have found some stuff in our lfs which is an all purpose treatment for non specific flicking etc and does not turn the water blue- we stick to that!!!

fatguppy; what is it called? i think i will try it next time. This stuff has worked really quick but seems to be taking ages to clear, it makes it looks like i havent sorted my tank out in ages.
thankyou all for your answers. really apreciated.
