Methylene Blue Fish In Need!

Hello

I have a fish that has been fin nipped very badly and now has a fungal infection that's getting worse. I've heard that methylene blue may help and was wondering what's the best way to go about doing things. I've heard that this medication could damage my filter so is it best to take the fish out and bath him in the medication? If so, long for?

any medication you buy should have instructions of exactly how to dose and when but if you have a spare tank then it doesnt hurt to move the fish to that so you can treat it directly and keep a close eye on it.

will also help to reduce stress if its getting nipped.
