Metallica New Album!

no,their last good album was the black album and their last great album was and justice for all.anything after that is commercialized crap.

Saint anger sucked yeah.

Load and Reload are in fact my fav albums by em. Technically they're really sound.

yes, they are technically sound albums but the songs don't tell stories like the songs on lightning, master,or justice.saint anger was so bad it didn't get airplay over here.i've read they are going back to their older style music and i hope they do.i honestly was a big fan of their's years ago.

I did not like Load or ReLoad, except for maybe one song. St. Anger had one or two listenable songs. The new single "My Apocalypse" sounded pretty good though. James has lost some of his voice due to the years, but they actually have a "Metallica style" guitar solo in it. Only problem with the song: Lars could've made a better drum part. The whole song is basically the same with his drums. Wayyyy to much snare for my taste.

I didnt like lars' drums all the way through St Anger. I dont know what drummers call it but ya know when they adjust their snare so the wires underneath dont touch it..... end result is a snare that makes a "boink" sound instead of that snappy sharp sound.

Hope this makes sense to someone! :p

from what I've heard of metallica I like them. I have the black album which is amazing and I listen to quite regularly. I also have a disc that was left in a car I bought years ago with a great song called Mama Said ( just checked ebay its Load) and thats quite good. I keep meaning to buy their older stuff

Yeah, it's a switch on the side of the snare you press down to get rid of the snare part. When I use it on my drum set (and that is when I do), it's mainly just to make it seem like I have another tom.

imo ride the lightning is their best album followed by master and then justice.unless you're into speed metal i would stay away from kill em all.their is a couple of decent songs on it though.i seen them on the damaged justice tour back in 1989 and they were awesome, they were so loud that i was tone deaf after the concert.i couldn't ues a telephone for 2 weeks.

after hearing some of the new album i have to say metallica is back with a vengance.

It's good and all. But it still it ranks nowhere on the top 3. For me it's Master of Puppets, Kill 'Em All, than Ride the Lightning.
