To cut a (very) long story short, my guppy jumped out of a breeder last night. I treated the breeder with melafix. She's had her babies and I want to stick her back in her own tank - 6 gal, three guppies, two bumblebee gobies, lightly brackish. Can I treat this tank with melafix (ie am I right in thinking that melafix will not affect the cycle)? I don't have anywhere to isolate her, but her tail is fraying, she's lost a fair bit of it and I'm sure the melafix will help, IME it's very good for regenerating damaged fins.

no melafix or pimafix will not affect cycling etc

i assume the tank is cycled?

Is she maintaining her balance well as when guppys lose quite abit of there tails they can get exhausted trying to keep a float.
If its not bacterial finrot I wouldn't bother adding the melafix if the tank is brackish.
