I have no opinion of it at all. I have never used it, and probably never will.

I was merely pointing out how there can be a placebo effect without resorting to asking the fish if they feel better.

I had a new goldfish swim around for 2 weeks with ulcers down his side. He had no appetite and was showing almost no activity. I then bought another one with torn fins and missing scales. One of his pectoral fins was torn down the middle to his body and I wondered was that gonna heal at all seeings how severe it was and he was constantly using it. He had no appetite either.

I was very close to putting the one with the ulcer to sleep when I read about Melafix. I went and bought some and put the recommended dose in the tank and both of these fish were completely healed in a few days. Their activities and appetites recovered completely. I know the Melafix helped.

D'oh, no chemicals in teatree oil, just pure natural products.

UV has no adverse effect on metafix, and indeed is likely to speed up the completion of any treatment.
