Mela Fix?

I have heard mixed reviews on this product...
I was just wondering how well it works on Bettas.
Has anyone ever used this product before?

it is doing winders for my tank ATM, it works nicely for a herbal remedy!

but aren't you supposed to half dose for bettas i think i heard this somewhere

and it worked great with my goldfish i didn't notice in the pond till nearly all half the fish were wiped out and right when i used it it saved my remaining fish

Hmm, I havent heard about the half dose thing before... I must look that one up

I'm thinking that I might pick up a bottle tomorrow while I'm at the petshop, because one of my bettas has a split in his tail, and this stuff is meant to help!

I voted yes, it works, provided the ailment hasn't been left too long. I have also read on other forums that dosing it killed their Betta. I don't know if there is any truth to this but I read it a few times so it would be something to look into more extensively.

Many people believe that MelaFix is harmful to bettas, and recommend using BettaFix. However, knowing what you now know, you can see that MelaFix and BettaFix are the same - you will simply need to dilute one drop of MelaFix into 4 drops of water in order to have the equivilent of one drop of BettaFix. Or, you can simply use one drop of Melafix in place of 5 drops of BettaFix!

I read that melafix is actually a bit strong for Bettas that is why they have betafix.

+1. right now i am using this thing called beta revive i hope it will help my betta but it is like 8 drops per gallon

Ok, I'll look for Bettafix, if not, Melafix will do, just at a smaller dosage.
Hopefully it will work.

Also, my Betta is in a divided tank (shared water), should I put him in another tank for treatment, or will the other Betta not be affected by Bettafix/Melafix?

Treating my male Betta for a split tail, not quite sure how this happened though.
So I'm resorting to Bettafix/Melafix to help heal it.
