He's a pretty boy. This is the betta I got about 2 weeks ago. He is the one I am prepping the 10 gallon for. Oh and I saw the pics of your female tank. You have alot of beautiful girls. Any advice you have for the care and safguard of Bettas, i would love to hear about. I am still learning about them myself. But this is my boy, Shimmer. He is a halfmoon. Oh and where do you get your bettas from? I cant find them nearly that beautiful. The two that I have are gorgeous and I feel that I am lucky that I found them

I've never had any luck finding striking Betta's, I can always find blue or red or purple ones at the local LFS but I've only once found one I HAD to have So I'd like to know where people find these lovely boys and girls

I got lucky with my two boys. I had 4 but two died from ich . The two I have now are doing very well. But I really think i lucked out in finding them.

They are all beautiful to me. Petsmart often has very pretty Bettas but I avoid that place because the Pertsmart by me does not take good care of their Bettas and it sickens me to look at them in polluted waters.

I get most of mine from Petco. They have a decent selection of various fin types, they take good care of their Bettas, and you can usually find a few outstanding looking bettas to choose from.

They are gorgeous! I've never seen a green one before I can't get good pics of mine tried when he was flaring at the cat but it didn't work out so good. Will have to learn to get better pics so I can show him off on here!

I too have never seen a Green Betta and that one is a bauty. Best way to get good Betta pictures is to temporarily put them in a small square clean glass container so that they can't move around much. Then you'll get plenty of good shots of them.

Yeah, I would be careful with the ones from Petsmart. The two that I had that died from Ich were both bought at Petsmart. I bought Shimmer (the green one) at Petco, and I bought Old Blue(my old veiltail) at a place called Tropical World Pets. Both of them are doing good, except I think I may have overfed Blue, as he has a bloated little tummy and can't seem to sink lol. I am currently treating that.

But as far as Puppy, he is a striking Betta. I have never seen one in such a rish pinkish salmon color and his fins are just so healthy and flowing. Absolutely gorgeous
